Great weekend- 13 weeks old!

This weekend has been really fun so far! Friday night we went to a family night at the place where Maya takes her tummy time classes, the Cincinnati Family Enrichment Center! There was a musician playing kids' songs with a guitar, and toys and all kinds of things to do and people to talk to. We actually saw some people from tummy time and from our hypnobirthing classes! It is so cool to see the people we went to class with and see everyone's finished 'product'. Hehe. We sat most of the night and listened to the music. Maya was awake and alert the whole time. Mostly she really liked watching all the older kids play and dance together. Bryan and I were amazed we were actually able to go out together on a friday night. However, friday nights are spent quite differently than when we were dating and going to bars or Reds games!

Some pics we took this morning when we had tummy time on the changing table! Check out all the rolls!

New things:

1. Maya is sucking her thumb! This past week she has started to really be able to get it into her mouth and keep it there. Unfortunately, this means her hands are always by her face and she keeps scratching her face and every morning I find a new cut on her face or eyelids :(

2. Maya hates her infant car seat. She will sit in it for a few minutes before she gets annoyed and starts fussing. I think the material makes her really sweaty and with this heat, it is a little unbearable. So we have been leaving her car seat in the car most times now and just carrying her... the problem is that she is SO heavy now!

Today we went to the zoo! It was half price admission day and free parking. We didn't realize that meant that the whole city would be at the zoo today. It was packed, but we still had a great time. Maya was an absolutely PERFECT baby all day long! I still can't get over how good natured she is all the time and she just goes with the flow! Daddy said it best today that Maya is a people watcher. She loves just sitting back and taking everything in. We tested out a new baby wrap... it is actually called the Maya Wrap. Maya loved it (and so did my back)! It is a great alternative to carrying her around all day. She just sat back and chewed on her hands ALL day, took a few snoozes, drank a few babas!

Here is another video of her in the car on the way home from the zoo. She loves it when I say "BOO" or "I'm gonna get you!" and she gets a little startled, but it makes her laugh so hard!
