We traveled back to Cleveland for Superbowl weekend and spent a lot of time with family. Bryan managed to get out of work early and we left around noon on friday so we actually got to Nana and Pop pop's in time for dinner! The kiddos went to bed and the adults, including Auntie Erin and Uncle John all played Samba (cards) together. Mom keeps a log of all our games so we can look back and remember what happened and who won!
Saturday we went to see Bryan's grandmother perform in her band, the "Off their Rockers" It was so cool and the girls loved watching her sing and dancing around in front of the audience. Afterwards, Jungle Terry came with a whole bunch of animals and, of course, Maya loved petting the snakes. Then we went out to lunch and spent some time with Bryan's mom, aunts and grandmother. Geneva is having this thing called "Winterfest" with free wagon rides in the snow. We caught the last ride of the day with the girls. It was so cold, but I think they had fun and Claire pointed at the horses and said "Moooo!" Haha!
Sunday was the superbowl and Auntie Erin and Uncle John had a wonderful time spoiling Maya by making cupcakes with her that had "princess sprinkles" and they bought her a huge princess painting book with lots of stickers. She had so much fun. I went to bed at 9:30pm (I suck) due to all the cooking and good food!
Monday was Auntie Erin's first day back to work. We all pitched in and helped watch Will during the day and it was a very special day because we all went to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaur bones. Maya was most excited at this prospect and had been talking about it for 2 weeks! We all had a great time and were exhausted after the day. Will had a hard time being away from his Mommy for the first time, but he loves his cousins and tracks them all over. Maya loves Will so much as you can see and is so proud to hold him and is so gentle with him. Claire is very interested in him and wants to touch him (in her own "gentle" way) and she says "ugh!" and "hi" to him constantly. She also like to rock his carseat and play peekaboo around the handle to him. We visited Gammie at her house on monday night for a yummy dinner and to play out in the snow.
What a great visit!
